Hot and cold don't mix
I really like my car. My car may have some issues, but my '93 Honda Accord is just that: mine.
I just recently got it back (after being on the shelf for some time for various problems) and said to myself, "Self, it's a nice hot day (remember hot for later) , I'm home early, I think I'll wash my car."
That seems like a normal enough thought, doesn't it. So I went to Auto Zone after work and picked up some stuff to do just that. I get home, change clothes, and go back outside and wash my car.
Where is this leading....be patient.
Now, how does water feel when it comes out of the hose? ......... If, you said, "cold", give yourself a hand.
So, how does it feel inside of a car when the windows are closed while sitting out on a hot day under direct sunlight? ......... If, you said, "hot", you must be a genius.
Reader's Note: I have washed cars by hand before and never had any problems.
About 30-40 minutes later after washing the car's exterior, I go inside to clean and polish the dash when I look up and see a @#%$@ crack the size of a fault line! I would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes (See pic above). Between the heat inside the car and the cold water from the hose the glass actually cracked!!
At this point it was time to go inside, lay on the couch and take a damn nap. Another crazy moment in my '93 Honda Accord.
Addendum (the following day): During the work day, the crack has grown about 3-4 more inches. Damn, Damn, Damn!!!!

better get that fixed.. it probably won't make it through the winter without totally shattering.. insurance probably cover it.. call them check it out.
I think you should just get a motorcycle and call it a day!
